Yea Yea Yea… I know the world stopped ‘cuz Lil’ Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” LEAKED right? Oh.. it didn’t??

Damn… Anyway, I gave it a fair listen and I’m not at all moved or impressed by it. The production is from A-list producers but the quality of it is just... is… and the lyrics are just… that... Nothing new, nothing exciting, nothing groundbreaking.

If you’re a Wayne’s fanatic you’ve probably stopped reading by now but if not, you’re an intelligent person! I was going to do a music review but I couldn’t find myself to say anything other than the album is average. There you go.. It is a solid 3.. out of 10 that is. You can read a thorough review from Bol’s site.

It was also funny to see Wayne backpedal this weekend and retract his “Fuck Mixtape DJ’s” statement as he called DJ Drama. (Listen Here). It’s ironic that he found a way to blame and wish death (twice) on the same Empire “Drought” mixtapes that made him a “genius” to his fans… what a fucking idiot… I would go on by why waste my or your time?? Lowkey summed it up perfectly so read his statement.

Regardless, the album isn’t trash but it isn’t good… The best song is “Mr. Carter” Featuring Jay-Z who murders Wayne’s 3 verses with his one. It is one of the few songs that Wayne doesn’t seem to be “throwed” on but he even realizes it as he tries to recover with another verse after Jay! :) 

If you’re a fan, you’ll get the album and love it as I was told “His album is crack tho!” If you’re a supporter of real music then you won’t be impressed and you’ll probably download it.. Shit.. email me or leave me a comment if you want it and I’ll send it to you… I don’t support that shit…

If you work hard for your money.. then keep it and buy two copies of Usher’s or Nas’s new album!

I first saw Nas’ new “Artwork” For the now untitled but classically named Nigger album last night and I was shocked, astonished, and amazed all at once! We (the educated) knew they (the cracker controlled music business) were gonna threaten to pull Nas’ new album from the big chains (read white stores) if he didn’t change the album title.

Once again.. the big homey may have just had a “genius moment” and sent a big fuck you to Wal-Mart, K-mart and the entire music industry.

I have always been shocked at how people who have not been ancestors of slaves, slaves themselves, or are associated in anyway always seem to been “offended” and “appalled” at blacks usage of the word “Nigger”. They’d rather we dress it up with an “a” as in nigga and say that its our term of endearment and say dumb shit like “if you say it, then why can’t we?”.

Maybe this new album will help you to understand the oppression, that black people have been through and clearly show you that if cannot share in our experiences then you are not welcome to use the word in any shape form or fashion.

Maybe the record labels will now see that we do not accept shit like Jimmy Iovine’s blatant Rock and Roll “Nigger” as a song title and their stand offish attitude to Nasir’s use of “Kike Nigger”, Spic Nigger”, Guinea Nigger” “Chink Nigger”. Why is it when they do it, it is to be considered art but when we do it is it “Blackxpoitation“….

It’s wonderful to see how uncomfortable white Amerikkka is when their chickens come home to roost. You who created the word “Nigger” will now have to look not at the words, but the history of slavery everytime you hear any of Nas’ new songs coming from your children’s cracker ass speakers or any of the lyrics coming from their mouths.. Does that make you uncomfortable???  I wonder why….

Food For Thought:

I believe the artwork is more than just a metaphor for the actual word that the music industry wont allow to be printed. Could it be more symbolic than when Prince wrote “Slave” on his face?? Could this be a call to examine why “WE” (the artists) who clearly have the talent continue to slave away for the “Master” (the major labels) only to be clearly robbed of our aspirations, our desires, visions, and benefits and above all unless you are the good house “nigger”, to never own what is rightfully your art, your “masters” ???

I leave you with this question: “They like to blame the Nigger, Strangle Niggers, Shooting Niggers, Hanging Niggers, Still you wanna be a Nigger too?”
