50 Dollar Sneakers (Youtube Video)

You first heard the song… and now.. Courtesy of Live4Ever Entertainment, this is Fresh’s latest Youtube video for “50 Dollar Sneakers”, Fresh’s interpretation as Mars Blackmon. 

“Mars Blackmon” was the fictional character from the 1986 film “She’s Gotta Have It” and is the alter-ego of filmmaker Spike Lee.

The Youtube video was done with by GFC affiliate Truly Curvaceous from the popular fashion site The Trendsetter.

“50 Dollar Sneakers” features the lovely visuals of Salt N’ Pepa, Fashion Designer KESH, and the Amanda Diva along with the flyest sneakers for the lover in you.

Rik Cordero’s “Inside A Change Wrap Party”: The Re-Up

What it is ya’ll? After being called a lazy bum because it takes me a few days to get back… I decided to share the pics from Rik Cordero’s “Inside A Change” Wrap Party.

The party was at Stay, a nice club/lounge in lower Manhattan and to my surprise… it was a pleasant surprise.

Excellent music, nice lighting.. and a open bar features top shelf drinks.. absolutely a nice mix of business with the casual ambience to leads to...

    

Early on in the night I ran into the homie YG from My Global Hustle Blog. He and his homie Rob and I chopped it up for a while regarding the state of the music business.

For an interesting read check him out. He’s definitely one to look out for!

As always, all sorts of my homies came out and showed love. If you remember my man Al Lover was “Old Face Andre” on HBO’s “The Wire”, has a new role in “Inside A Change” as “Mo Flood”.

“Respect My Fresh!!!” Gucci 2008 Spring/Summer Footwear

 

A small look into Gucci’s 2008 spring/summer collection reveals two high-tops inspired largely in part by the aesthetics of college team sneakers from the 1950s.

The high-tops each possess predominately white uppers with highlight colors seen along the lace holes.

Gucci’s Flagship Raises The Bar on Fifth Avenue

One of the world’s most exclusive and exquisite luxury lines, Gucci has re-opened it’s flagship store in Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. 

The Italian luxury retailer beat out high end rivals including Armani and Ralph Lauren for the Fifth Avenue space. The store replaces the former one that has been on the corner of 54th street for three decades and will close its doors Thursday. 

The new three level store makes opens to the general public this Friday February 8th!

How I’m Spending My Spare Time…

I got bored yesterday so I decided to show you’ll how I was spending my spare time. I had an early morning meeting with a music industry executive so I was feeling pretty good and decided to share with ya’ll (See, I’m not that bad!)

In between my addiction to my Blackberry, I was cleaning my jewelry (I’m so retro but so vintage!), rubber band wrapping my allowance (j/k!) and reading “The Substance Of Style”. A very good book for those wanting to upgrade their level of Freshness.

Respect My Fresh!!! Puma x Yo MTV Raps Pack!!!

Here’s a preview of one of the most exciting Puma collaborations to hit stores soon!!! They continue the 1988 Yo MTV Raps! collaboration on three sneakers for this pack!

The first one comes in a dark red tone, commemorating M.C. Shan and features a gold Queensborough “Queens” Bridge embroidery around the back heel. It also has a custom Yo MTV Raps! tongue tag and inner lining.

The second collaboration comes with an all black suede upper and commemorates Big Daddy Kane. It also features golden embroidery of the old school cuban link chains. It also has the custom tags and inner lining.

The last sneaker in this collaboration is commemorating the Yo MTV Raps’ hosts, Dr. Dre and ED Lover. It comes in all white with a neon green lining and “1995″ and “1988″ tags on the tongues.

I normally don’t do Puma sneakers but for the sake of Hip Hop I may have to cop this pack!!! These sneakers have no release date as of yet but please believe, I’ll keep you updated on these!!! These sneakers are especially DOPE!!! and will certainly be classic pieces for any Hip Hop head!!!!

The Grand Opening of the Bronx’s own world famous Tuff City Styles‘ new store and tattoo parlor went down last night!!! If you missed it then you were definitely a lame for that!!

It was a night of free food, free drinks, great art, and entertainment all for the love of Hip Hop! The music was live, as it was held down by the Bronx’s own legendary DJ Kool Mike Ski, who is also a personal and very good friend of mine!!!!

The performances by The Gift, Night and the Torches were especially hot and was a high point of the evening as well as the art exhibitions, graffitti panels and the B-Boys and B-Girls that were in the building. Shout out to the homie Veronica “Star” for keeping it so 80’s!!! (I’ll see you at the Block Party!!!)

The Graffitti artist Ket and his daughter were also in the building and on a side note, he’s definitely a good brother, Good luck on your case homie!!!

Last but not least… guess who tore down the opening with a performance of two of the songs off his new mixtape???!!! That’s right!!! Ya’ boy Fresh performed “Big Shit Poppin” and “Watch Your Mouth” to a stand out crowd!!! I’mma try to get video of that for ya’ll soon!
