If you’ve been following the news then you already have heard about T.I.’s plea deal and sentencing. I’ll be the first to say that I am ecstatic over the news. I actually was talking with blogger Sohh Gyant about this an hour before the news broke. Those within my inner circle have known that I was rooting for Tip to get off and look at the deal the king pulled off!
Under the deal of this agreement he will have to do 1,500 hours of community service, a “year” in prison, up to 3 years probation and a year of house detention. As of today his lawyer has revealed more about this “house” arrest- he said T.I. is free to go and do anything he pleases but he has a curfew.
Now if you know anything about the legal system works then you have already spotted the hustle that has taken place. T.I. has been on house arrest for 5 months. His “year” sentence has been commuted until April 2009, after the 1,500 hours of service is completed.
Do the math with me folk.. 5 months served plus 12 months of “house arrest” = TIME SERVED!
The point is, T.I. is not going to do one day in a prison cell. He’ll do the community service and keep it moving. Another black man has beat the FEDS... The Grand Hustle!!! Congrats, T.I.P!!!
